I lived in Cleburne when I was very young and barely remember it. My mother told me a story of a man named Fred (or Frederick possibly) who had previously lived in our house. Apparently his daughter had fallen down the stairs and broken her neck and died. I remember my mother having a neighbor who was a medium come over and find him. I remember her burning sage and chanting. My mother said the medium told her about Fred. The strange thing is I remember Fred. I remember a presence on those stairs. It was a manly almost fatherly presence.

My mother told me a story, which was also confirmed by my oldest sister, about ''Fred'' saving me and my middle sister Nikki. He saved us from stray bullets from a nearby battling gang outdoors. Apparently he had led my mother to our bedroom, focused her attention outside and told her to call the police. She said Fred saved one of us (cannot remember which one of us was on the top bunk) from a stray bullet by pushing us off the bunk and onto the floor which caused a small fracture in one of the bones in the forearm but no serious damage. The bullet apparently hit the pillow head-on. I remember slightly these events and others (as well as my own. ) How can we deny these things?.

I saw a little man about three feet high also when I lived on Buffalo Street in the 80s. My son saw him too, so did my boyfriend and another friend.
