Years ago when we first came to Cleburne, we moved into a nice older home that sits on N Anglin behind the First Baptist Church building. At the time it was divided up as a multi family dwelling. Supposedly we were the only family occupying the house at the time. If you notice the house, you will see it has an upstairs room, maybe an attic. We didn't have access to it, but the second part of the house did.
My Dad was a cement finisher and he always wore thick work boots. I would hear heavy footsteps overhead in the early morning hours and think it was my Dad, but when I would get up to check, I would find his work boots in the hall where he always left them. One night my cousins and I knocked on the other door of this house just for fun. The door actually opened a crack, like it wanted us to come in, yet there was no one that we could see in that doorway. Needless to say, we never tried that again. It scared us to badly. I don't know if it was just overactive childhood imagination, but I always felt odd in that house.

Old rock looking house on N. Pendell St. Lived there briefly. Weird things happened and my child was small and said Sara used to talk to him, and she didn't like what we were doing to the house. A cabinet door fell off a cabinet and nearly broke my foot.
We stopped working on it and moved out and 10 more people have moved in and out in the last 9 years.

Me and my mom live in an old house built by my grandpa in the 1940s. My great grandma died in the house, and across the street a boy committed suicide. At night around 12 my TV will turn on and start changing channels, then it'll go off if I call my mom.
