When I was 13 years old we lived in an old frame house on Robinson st across from N. Cleburne Baptist church. I was always afraid of that house... I just sensed something I guess. My 11 year old sister and I shared a bedroom...
One night we were in bed and I heard someone moaning... Not just normal moaning... The only way I can describe it is it sounded like a soul in turmoil. It continued until I sat up and screamed leave me alone! This happened almost every night.

The scariest thing that ever happened was I was in bed... It was raining really hard. We had an attic in the hall next to our bedroom with a screen door latched. The bathroom was right off the hall.

Suddenly I heard someone come down from the attic and through the bathroom window at the exact same time. We had hardwood floors so I could hear them walking toward my side of the bed. I was absolutely terrified...
You may have heard comedian Bill Cosby talk about being scared as a kid and hiding under the magic covers... Well that was me. I was too frightened to open my eyes, too afraid to look at whoever it was.
I could feel them standing there staring at me. Then they walked to the foot of the bed and tripped on the bed and when they fell they actually groaned! We had an old vinyl recliner in our room and I heard the spirit sit down in the chair.
