The next encounter had to do with the spirit of a native woman. I was speeding through the tight, windy road when I locked eyes with a woman on the side of the road. She just stopped and watched me as I passed. She was fit with a white dress and braids. It startled me to see anyone on the road, much less at this time of day (about 2:00 am. ) I slammed the brakes and quickly came

to a stop, only passing the woman by about twenty yards. I put the truck in reverse and went back to where I saw her. Only about twenty seconds had passed

since I'd seen her. On one side of the road is a huge drop off to a creek bed. On the other is dense mesquite trees; you can't walk through. Yet when I returned to her location there was nothing.
The third encounter was human. Well, subhuman actually. I was driving towards that plot of land I had mentioned. I was approaching the front gate when I saw something irregular. Up the trail a little bit I saw light from a fire. I stopped at the gate
