I personally never experienced anything, but two women in my family both had at least one creepy or terrifying experience at our house in Converse, Texas. First my mother heard things that weren't actually there like running and talking. One time in the kitchen she heard what sounded like an anvil fall next to her, and she felt as if someone was towering over her. My sister had an experience. One night she woke my parents saying ''there's a tall man in my

bed, and I can't sleep.'' My parents ran into her room and saw nothing or any signs of anything, but we all knew that she wouldn't lie about that.

I also lived in Landis Lakes in the castle from 1970-71. At that time we had some army musicians from the 323rd army band and army nurses. Other than an occasional snake there didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary. When my nurse friend and I moved in we were told that the turret and deck was the community nude sun bathing location. Wow! a dream come true. Army choppers made regular runs checking out all the girls. It was a unique and fun place to live. It was nice to know Joanne (in one of the stories submitted earlier) also lived in the castle. I just wish someone had some pictures.
