about this place??? I wanted to write a story about my years there, so weird there is no longer any record of it existing!. Submitted by Demonhuntergirl
Comment by Joanne: I lived at Landis Lakes in the mid 70s. In the main structure we called it the castle. The pool was ugly green in color. Yes, strange things happened there, and we blamed it on the resident ghost.
Comment by Michael: I was one of those hippies! We loved that place. This very morning I was driving on Ackerman when I saw the little house we stayed in.... And it all came back to me. What a great time back in time we had. Our little place might be the one your talking about because it had a very skinny and steep set of stairs that went up to the attic where the walls followed the roof then turned back in at the bottom. We would hang out up there high doing crazy art on all the walls and ceiling till we had no more room to draw! Wow can't believe I was really back there. So all you Landis Lakiens and you know who you are reach out and holla about one of the coolest places and memory's I can even think of. Peace out!!.

Comment by Jillian: My uncle and his family lived there in the early 60s and it seemed a magical place. I went back ten years later to look at a rental property but was definitely creeped out by a negative feeling. I really thought the place was haunted. Tried to find the property yesterday with my elderly parents but realized it was torn down. My 90 year old parents confided for the first time that they also thought it was haunted. Hm.

Comment by anonymous: I lived there as a child. Does anyone know where I can see photos of that area during the 1960s and 70s?.
