We rented a house in crownwood we were on ridge mile which Miller Rd and the grave yard was behind our house. We would hear screaming from the grave yard for days at a time during the night and it would stop for days and then start again.
We had unusual experiences in the house too. From downstairs you could hear footsteps from upstair and nobody was upstairs. My daughters saw a person upstairs several times. It got to the point where they stayed downstairs to sleep.

You would also hear an animal running around upstairs... And my dog would be with me looking up at the ceiling. Also one day my oldest daughter and I were sitting on the couch and could hear her recorder from upstairs playing pop goes the weasle.

After it got quiet my daughter peeked upstairs and her recorder was hanging on the coat rack upstairs. We lived there for over 5 years and it never quit. Happy to be away from there. But it was an interesting experience.

Location of sighting: Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Converse, Texas.. Miller road and Gibbs sprawl date of sighting: around July 1994. How it happened: some background first, I went to Judson and lived in Converse since about the age of 5 and moved around different neighborhoods in the town so I am familiar with all of my local surroundings. So one night, my High School girlfriend and I went to a late night movie at the old galaxy theatre ( Rialto now). The movie was over around 130 am ish or so and she lived in candlewood which is off Gibbs sprawl and crestway..Well because we should not have been out that late, I took a shortcut through the glen which leads to the back road leading in to candlewood off of Miller Rd. I had been on Miller road plenty of times and knew that across the street was a cemetery but I never paid any attention to it. Well that night on the way home, while on Miller road, my ex and I ( both of whom were not intoxicated at all) saw a ghost of a woman with white hair, a white night gown and she was expressionless. She did not advance toward our car or anything, she just appeared as a spirit that could not sleep. This ''woman'' ghost was a few yards beyond the entrance to candlewood ( ridge mile Dr. ) and stood there as we turned into the neighborhood. My girlfriend at the time and I freaked out! She locked her door and jumped on to my side of the car until we reached her house! We could not believe our eyes and both saw the same thing! I did not believe in ghosts until that night...Ghosts are roaming in Converse... That is for sure! .
