When I was nine my parents bought a half completed house in Sabinas Street in Corpus Christi, this house when I say half completed I mean everything from the outside was finished but the inside had no floors or walls, there was a creepy corn hanging in the middle, and the window looked creepy and antique.. After several months my father fixed it up, took the creepy looking corn and fixed the window. After a couple of years it seemed to feel normal, then when I was in my teens me and my sister started noticing odd things. We felt our bed shake, our cabinets tremble, it was so loud it would literally wake me in my deepest sleep. I felt an animal with claws on my chest in the middle of the night. It was pitch black, I couldn't really see it. My sister saw my father's reflection in the mirror, and when she turned to see him he wasn't there but still saw him in the mirror; and my father let me remind you is still living. And I heard a baby crying in the middle of the night by my parents room, after all that my parents decided they had enough, sold the house and we moved. After several years we had found out it was a small grave yard, my parents told us after many years that they found a small child casket and didn't tell us of fear it would frighten us even more. Even people that live in the house now say they've experienced thrown plates and glasses across the room.

Well... This is actually a story my mother once told me. When she was a small girl, she lived with her mother, father, and brother on Daytona here in Corpus. Her grandmother had given her this adorable little stuffed poodle with realistic glass eyes, and one night, my mother went to bed with it laying on its side in her lap on her bed. The lights were out and she was barely falling asleep when something woke her up with a start. She felt the air in the room go from normal summer temperature to freezing cold, and as soon as she laid eyes on her poodle, it stood straight up all by itself.
