I lived on Vang CT. We had all kinds of activity in our house. The hauntings included a dancing coffee maker and a ceiling fan that flew out of the ceiling in a way that wasn't possible, as well as exploding fire logs and items moving by themselves. Two different people died mysteriously in that house. I could go on and on with stories of strange happenings. I had many people come over and say they felt a ''bad feeling'' when they came in the house. We

moved out of that house and moved to the front of Newport and never had the haunting issues again.

My dad moved to Newport (section 10) with my brother and me around 1987. I was in third grade, and my brother in seventh. We lived on ''Broken Back Drive'' between Vang CT. and Jack Block CT. My brother and I had felt weirdness in our home from early on and just went about routine as everybody else. Later when I was 11 or 12 it all started with a glowing green orb hovering in my room. It was grapefruit sized. I was ''summoned'' out of my sleep to see this, and my rational mind started thinking that it was a refraction through my bedroom window from a car or street lights.
I walked to my window which had blinds closed and curtains obscuring most of any potential light. I looked out anyway, and there were zero cars and not a single street light close enough or bright enough to cast a green orb into my room. I turned around, and it was still there. I walked over to it and passed my hand through it. I was startled but got back in bed and tried to sleep. Every single night afterwards for years to come I was awakened to shadowy figures perched at the foot of my bed. I was tormented until I became callused to ''them''. I'd wake up, see them, and say ''oh, it's just you''.
My brother and I later found out from my dad and stepmom that they saw these things often. From inside my home to exploring the woods my brother, friends, and myself experienced crazy things in this area. Too much to describe here. Just know this all validated on a larger scale what I went through. Some of it terrifying. A lot affected families and friends I knew in this area.
