My folks have lived in Cypress TX for 30 years and the entire neighborhood is haunted. People hear footsteps voices see ghosts dressed in ''old fashioned'' garb. There was once a saloon on the creek at the far end of what's now the neighborhood and Texas troops ran roughshod over it and surrounding farmland on their way to San Jacinto--you can still find evidence of this if you dig down several inches in the soil. In our house we had a young boy and girl that would interact with kids a Native American woman who showed up in the autumn and late summer a ''cowboy'' man who wore a dark hat and long coat that only appeared in my brothers' room and closet and shadow people that come and go with the seasons.

Comment by anonymous: The area around present-day Cypress was populated by Atakapan Indian tribes but they soon disappeared after the appearance of German settlers.

Comment by Heather: What subdivision are you referring to? Is it near the Texas Army disc golf course/park on Telge between Cypress and Houston and Jarvis?.
