I lived in a two-story house in Balch Springs for four years. As soon as the house was getting some work done the guys that were working there complained about strange sounds coming from the upstairs master bedroom. They heard loud footsteps and as if someone was going up and down the stairs. When we moved in we started hearing strange sounds as well from door banging, footsteps, paper wrinkling and music coming from nowhere apparently. I was in the fifth grade at the time, and when we wanted to tell our parents they wouldn't believe us.
As time went by we started seeing things move from the corner of our eyes. Doors would open and close. Things would disappear and reappear in weird places. One night my sister and I stayed up pretty late watching TV. When we heard a sound like someone was in the closet. Our room was the master bedroom upstairs. That room had a walk-in closet, and one of the doors was broken; therefore, it couldn't open. Well, that night when my sister and I paused our show and looked back. We saw both doors were open. We jumped, closed the doors, and went to sleep. The following morning the doors were open again. Little things like this happened all the time.

We would also see what seemed like our doubles around the house. My sister would be upstairs in the closet or room talking to me, and I would come from upstairs and vice versa. These doubles would never talk back they would just say look around but never talk. There was an apparition of an older man in black, a young girl with a dress, and a little boy that would be running around the house. TV, radio, and lights would turn on and off at the same time. Once everyone knew what was going on in the house things became more noticeable, as if the spirits knew about it, and it become and everyday thing for us.
