There was an old boarded up house out at the end of River Oaks Road east of Denison with a huge iron gate. The house was accompanied by a smaller trailer home on the same property and surrounded by woods that backed right up to the Red River. No one used the property, and it was virtually abandoned, though sometimes we would see people go in and out of the gate. This house and the trailer both, and most likely the land itself, is HIGHLY haunted. I personally,

along with several other people from the neighborhood witnessed apparitions moving through the house, screams coming from the house and the trailer, and
|
horrible smelling odors wafting through the air if you got too close. As a teenager, a friend and I decided to ''investigate'' the house and trailer in broad daylight. Mind you we were met with unspeakable horrors.
The trailer which we ventured into first was filled with trash and what looked to be human waste covering the walls, ceilings, and floors, as if someone had been throwing it around. As we stepped inside, pieces of trash started to lift
