I lived in a house on Redwood place in Denton for over 10 years. The home had one former owner who died in the home from a stroke. We used to hear noises in the kitchen / dining space and we know it was not mice/rats due to the fact that we had 3 indoor cats.
The cats slept with me at night and I could hear the noises in the kitchen with all cats ''accounted for''. My mother decided to exorcise the kitchen one night. She took a can of air freshener and walked around the kitchen telling the ''unknown spirits'' it was time to go and leave the house.

After that night the noises in the kitchen ceased. The only remaining spirit in the home was a white long-haired cat. One of my friends walked to the back of the house to the bathroom. She commented on my new cat which she saw sleeping on my mother's bed.

We did not have a solid white cat. We only had dark-colored cats at that time. Mom did not let our ''live'' cats into her room. However she often reported feeling motion and weight on the bed-- as if one of the cats was in the room with her.
We thought the white cat belonged to the former owner the stroke victim.

I lived on Knight Street in Argyle TX and never believed in ghosts before. We also had the ''heavy footsteps'' every morning after my husband left for work. Things would mysteriously fly off of a table a locked dishwasher flung open with no explanation a ceiling fan (that never worked) suddenly started spinning very fast then stopped abruptly....
