It was in 1980. A friend of mine named Terry from Ranger and I were all working on a drilling rig together in Eastland county. He told us about screaming Sheila. No one really believed him, so we rode out to the lake with a few other friends that were working on the drilling rig we were drilling wells for Ray Richey and company. I'm about to tell you it's true. At first the lake just looked normal. It started getting dark. Terry took off his boots, rolled up his pants, and waited out in about knee deep water. Then all of a sudden he started screaming, ''Something has me. Something has a hold of me.'' We ran out in the water and grab Terry. We started dragging him to bank, but it was nearly impossible to drag him. Three of us couldn't drag him, and the water was only knee-deep. When we pulled him out of the water, he had handprints on his ankles. We never went back to Ringling Lake again.

There is a road in Eastland, TX where a street crosses the railroad. I was 15 years old, it was my boyfriend, me, my sister, and her boyfriend. The street dead ends on the railroad tracks. The story goes that this woman was trying to run the train with the baby in the car but she did not make it, it killed both of them they never found the baby so she looks for the baby at night ..
Well I did not believe the story so we went out, then backed up to the tracks in the truck and waited one minute. I looked back, it looked like someone was walking down the tracks far away from us, and it was like she sped up because I could see her. She was almost to the truck, she was wearing a white dress covered in blood, she had long black hair and coming right at us. The truck would not start, we were all crying, yelling. She was right at the back of the truck, the truck started, we were gone. Never went back, but it's been 26 years and I still remember that night .

This summer my cousin Dakota came to visit us and ever since he came down here we have been seeing ghosts and things moving all around us. We would be asleep and the covers would fly off of us in the middle of the night. I am the same girl that wrote about my friend Megan that lives in Ranger, and then sometimes we will hear footsteps in the middle of the night. It is really creepy, the lights come off and on, pictures fall of the wall, the water in the sink will turn on. And one day I was writing in my journal and I sat it down for a second and when I came back it said escape and never come back I hate you. This was before my cousin came to visit. Well I hope that it follows him back, my name is Breanna and I live on west 13th Street, god bless me.
