We only lived there a few years. My sibling was in a tragic accident in that home that left her disabled until her passing. The previous owners also experienced a tragic accident in that home. As a kid I would be awakened by a loud aggressive knock on my bedroom window.

Back in the late 1990's, we used to live on Viscount in the very first townhouse on the left as you turned into the property. We had lived in the complex previously in a one bedroom and never had issues. Upon our return, so many strange things happened.
You often felt a cold breeze, as if someone was walking quickly past you. Things were always out of place or missing, and if they were missing, they'd turn up a few days later in a strange place. For example, I could not find my pearl earrings anywhere! Days later they appeared on my dresser under a crystal bowl which was placed upside down on top of them.

The apartment had 2 bedrooms and a skylight at the top of the stairs. Our puppy often sat at the bottom of the stairs and barked at the top of the stairs or she would sit under the skylight (at the top of the stairs) and stare or bark as if something/someone was there. She also HATED the front bedroom (which we used as an office). She would sit at the door of the room and growl; she would NOT voluntarily enter that room.
We would also hear foot steps on the ceiling of the first floor (as if someone were stomping around in that front bedroom) and over the stair well/skylight (roof). They were loud, as if the person were marching in some type of heavy boots. It was really difficult to get people to believe what we were hearing. There were often homeless fellas living on the bus stop bench just below our balcony and with the street being lined with the gorgeous trees, it wasn't a stretch to think the perhaps one of those guys climbed a tree and started living on the roof. Maintenance checked but no one had been up there.

I think our biggest validation came when my sister house sat for us for a weekend. She agreed to dog-sit while we were out of town. No sooner had we fallen asleep that Friday night did we get a call from my sister, balling because she was terrified. Our dog had been barking and growling constantly all night - at the door of 'the' bedroom, the top of the stairs, etc. When my sister finally enticed her to come down (with treats), the foot steps started from that room (which was right above the living room). The louder she turned up the television, the louder the steps would get. She called a mutual friend who lived in an apartment just a few doors down and he experienced the entire ordeal as well! Her phone call was to let us know they were staying long enough for her to get her stuff, pack the dog and then they were out of there!
