My grandma used to live in this old house in the downtown area. I hated spending the night because you would hear creepy things like a ball bouncing on a wall. There were lechuzas that would stand in the trees. I would hear them next to the window. One night we were watching TV, and we heard a woman crying. It was coming from the basement. It sounded loud for a few minutes. My grandma turned off the TV, and she started to say a prayer. Then the crying stopped, and it was silent. That basement always gave me the creeps. It had this door with a small window. It looked like somebody was standing there. I would always avoid looking at it, and I would take off running when I had to pass the basement to go to the second floor. That house is still there. It was turned to an apartment complex. That was a very scary place.

I moved to an old house that was converted to an apartments. It's near the Maggofin Home. There are many strange noises you can hear at night and in the daytime as well. There is a creepy staircase that you can hear footsteps, and neighbors have heard whispers. A few days before Thanksgiving I heard a loud bang. It sounded like something was slammed hard against the floor. My living room shook, and my cat started crying. It was about 5 a.m.
The downstairs neighbor told me they always hear that. I don't know what that was, but it scared me. I started praying, and one of the neighbors told me that in the 1980s there was a lady that lived in apartment 3 who used to do brujerķa. When she moved out they remodeled the apartment and found a voodoo doll in the wall. There is always a creepy vibe when I pass through that apartment. I'm planning of moving soon. It's too scary.
