We moved to Wood Creek a year and a half ago. When we first moved into this new house my kids kept telling us that they heard noises in the attic. I kept saying it's just the AC making noise and a new house. However, I went into one of their rooms, and we both heard it. There were footsteps and creaking noises. I said I hear it, and it made sure to make more noise.
The next time my son was upset because he told me he had heard footsteps on the carpet in his room. Several times I have heard ''Mom Mom Mom,'' which sounded like my son. I got up and checked, and he was asleep. I have witnessed my dogs follow something in the room I was in. I recently had a half-awake half-asleep type of deal and woke up to a woman wearing all black in a period dress with a black veil. Something bright was standing next to her, like pure energy. I couldn't look at what was next to her, but I kept trying to look through her black veil. She had on an almost shrine style black hat with a black veil on. I looked at her face, and she was older.

I just kept trying to say in the name of the father and the son but could never utter out the rest. I was frozen. She did not seem menacing, but she did seem to be visiting. When I do the dishes I can feel something stand behind me, and it's probably the most uncomfortable feeling I've had here. I try to avoid doing dishes sadly, or do them quickly, or let my husband do them. While in the kitchen I turned around and saw a young girl. She was wearing a gown almost like a hospital gown or just a plain gown. Her hair was shoulder length, and she was slightly hunched. Her hair flared out split in the middle. In that instant she was gone, and that day I did not say anything about seeing her.

My husband came home and said ''the strangest thing happened to me pulling into the driveway. '' He said he saw a girl standing at the end of the driveway as he pulled in. Her hair was shoulder length, and then she was gone when he turned to look again. The other day me and my husband were taking the Fate Exit. I gasped and saw a man standing next to the metal guard to the left. I in that split second thought he was going to get hit by us or maybe he was going to walk into our traffic. In that second he vaporized. Right then my husband said this ''I saw him too. He was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. ''
I looked up some history on Fate and these areas and read that it has a history of Native Americans living around these parts. With all the new construction of homes I wonder if graves have been disturbed. The Caddos are some of the Native Americans to have inhabited these areas. I was recently driving near Rockwall and saw these majestic coyotes crossing the road, but they seemed too big to be coyotes, and I wondered if they happened to be timber wolves.
I have had many experiences in life, but I never figured a place like Fate, Texas would have so much activity. As I close this, I asked my husband if he has had any other experiences happen. He said of course slamming doors. He said I have been talking in my sleep, and it was not pleasant the way I sounded. I do recall having a few too many nightmares recently, and it could be accurate the talking in my sleep because I do remember trying to talk and wake up from a bad dream. Let's leave it at that folks creepy. Fate, Texas what is up and who knows some history on this town which is just fields with new construction all over the place.
