During the hours between 12 am to 3 am, at the Floydada cemetery strange activity has been said to occur. The voice of an elderly lady letting out agonizing screams asking ''for help from anyone to turn out the endless flames''...
Don't ask what I was doing out this late at night, but never again do I leave the house after midnight...

I used to live in Floydada and I lived in a house that was the scene of a gruesome murder / suicide. But I did not know this when I rented the place. The story goes that the man came home from work ill in the middle to catch his young bride cheating on him with the stableboy.

The man, in passionate anger lept for his gun and shot them both. He was horrible aim and it didn't kill either one immedietly. The boy bled to death slowly. But in the meantime the wife dragged herself to the gun and leaned around the corner where her husband was weeping at the top of the stairs.
She shot him in the back. Unable to take pain, she put the gun to her heart and pulled the trigger. After moving in, the first week was quiet. But once while I was in the shower I heard someone call out the name of marla.
Frightened I peeked around the shower curtain and saw no one in my locked bathroom. I deduced that it must have been my lack of sleep getting to me. The next night however, I awoke to the sound of a piano playing.
