I moved to Ft. Stockton in the fall of 1995 and lived for a few months in a duplex apartment. Shortly after about four months I bought a large two-story house on the corner of Callahan and Butz Streets. The house had been remodeled by a doctor and his wife prior to my family moving in. I lived there with my wife, daughter, two granddaughters. ) While living there my father passed away in the hospital on December 19th of 1996. This was one day after my

granddaughter's birthday and one day before my wedding anniversary.
On August 31, 1997 my oldest daughter passed away in San Antonio from leukemia.

The loss of my child really affected the entire family. Shortly after returning home from the funeral I would always clean the wood floors in the hallway with a large push mop before leaving the house to go shopping. When we returned back home from shopping I would walk into the hallway and see several coins lying on the wood floor that I had cleaned just an hour earlier. I would ask everyone if they had put the coins on the floor. Of course no one had
