It didn't take long before I was sleeping soundly. Suddenly, I was wide awake and didn't know why. I looked to see if his aunt had fallen off her bed;no; I then looked toward the inner door and listened in case someone was knocking on the door; no; it was then I sat on the side of the bed and looked toward the door that went to the parking lot that I saw a man standing next to my bed.
Instead of being frightened, my first response was as if I knew him

His ghostly vision was only from the shoulders up. Thinking I must be dreaming, I rubbed my eyes and looked again. He was there. I lay down, put my head on the pillow still denying to myself that he was there and that I must be dreaming.
It was then that I realized I had been sitting up, had rubbed my eyes, yet I had seen what I saw and he didn't disappear until I lay down. I have never seen anything like this before or since.
