Last weekend my 60 something girlfriends and I stayed at a home in town we had rented through a rental service. The first night one of us was awakened by the violent shaking of the mattress. As she started to call out to us the shaking stopped.

Two days later one of us was very slowly and cautiously coming down the steps from the upstairs bedrooms. She suddenly felt as if she were falling. She extended her hand to catch herself on the overhang of the ceiling and felt a force on her arm.

Her arm was broken. We had to take her to the hospital and x-rays confirmed a clear break at the top of her arm. That night I went into the kitchen to get a bag of chocolate dipped popcorn for us to snack on as we watched a movie.
The bag had been on the kitchen counter the day before. It was gone. We searched everywhere and never found it. None of us had ever entertained the thought of spirits or ghosts, but we all truly believe that some unnatural evil force was with us in that house.
