A few years ago we stayed at a ranch retreat there in Goliad. We stayed in one of the homes over the July 4th weekend. Since we had permission from the owner to pop some fire works we gathered in an area she uses for star gazing. My husband and I and our two boys were out after the sun went down. As my boys were firing the last roman candle the night was being lit up by the colors that shot up in the sky. All of a sudden we heard a voice out in the brush call out and say hey, what is that? My husband and I both turned around expecting to see someone standing there. There was no one there. The voice was clearly that of a young girl. No one was around for miles. We gathered our things having already prepared to leave and left quickly pretty shaken up. My husband went back the next morning to see if anyone could have hiding in the area where we were but it was surrounded by mesquite huisache and cactus.

There was no way he said someone would have been out at that time of night in the area. Submitted by Dora
