There are ghosts all over Goliad from the middle school to the Presidio and old backroads. There are houses that are haunted by people that did witch craft, and there are ghosts by the river. One in particular there was a woman who would steal children, although I've never seen her. My whole town believes in all this. I've only experienced minor ghost encounters. If you're willing go to the river or the school or the Presidio at night, good luck.

House by the ditch. Well first night moved in, lots of noises; children laughing. Dark, no electricity, yet did not sleep all night. Doors opening slowly, I looked through a keyhole and saw small children. When morning came began to clean red crayola marks on walls, heart shapes and a little girl name in Spanish. Painted it, it came back next day. Sanded it, painted it again, it came back. Found a little girl locket, threw it away. Too scared to keep it, a week later I was racking the yard, the locket appeared. Finally I got to clean a back room closet, it had 2 doors. I felt something in between the doors, it was a small tomb stone with 3 little girls faces on it. I was so scared, my husband put it in the yard and later took it to the dump. After that we never heard or saw anything else, we moved a few months later.

Believe me the Presido La Bahia is haunted. I have seen and heard them. Scared me half to death.
