In the mid nineties I used to live in Jersey Village off of Jones Road in a pretty dull typical neighborhood. I was 18 when my dad, stepmom, and myself moved in there. It all started with just odd noises. We never thought much of it. Then it escalated to the living room sound system turning on by itself as loud as possible, so we would have to get up and turn it off at like 3 am.

I needed something to drink. I set the phone receiver down to go grab something from the kitchen right around the corner from my room. As I walked out

of my room and into the hallway to the kitchen, there was a young guy leaning against the wall to the kitchen. He lit a cigarette, smiled, and vanished. I hightailed it the 8 feet back to my room.
About a month later we were all sitting in the living room watching TV when we heard a loud pop and saw a bright flash from the kitchen. We just sat there a minute before dad went and checked it out. There was nothing. Not long after that I got married,
