We live in a new cul-de-sac off West Pioneer next to Hailey Cemetery. When the house was being constructed in 2007 we came to see the progress as the house was almost finished. We were leaving the drive way, I looked back at the house for a last glance and saw a figure of what seemed like a little girl around eight or ten years old in a sandy colored dress from the 1930s or 1940s from inside the house. She seemed to be looking out the main large window from the corner watching us leave. When we moved in we heard noises from the first day. On the first day we moved in a loud pound coming from the garage. It sounded as though something was thrown at the garage door. We put it off as bats and birds. We thought they were probably not used to new houses around here because before it was land for Tif Irving water tower. We could hear more and more sounds from the attic and other rooms when no one was there. Sometimes it sounded like footsteps dragging, something heavy, falling, shuffling of bags, and lots of noise from the vents.
We have been here five years now and grew accustomed to the noises. Although some nights and even days were really loud, there was this one particular night. It was shortly after 3:00 am the party started for them (the spirits) outside my bedroom window. It started with shuffling in my attic. Then the shuffling and pounding woke my daughter up also. She called me on my cell phone to ask me if I was outside or in the living room where I heard it too. As she was calling me a group of voices got louder, but when I answered the phone the voices became silent. The noises and voices were as if they were from a group of people, and as the voices got more intense a voice from a little girl got louder. Then I heard music. I went around the house to all the rooms to see if any TVs or radios were left on, but everything was off. I went outside to investigate the roof and around for radio. I saw nothing around the house but still heard music. I looked at the other houses and apartments to see if anyone was doing late night partying. I saw no one else awake, but there is a new gas station up the street at Esters and Pioneer. I thought the music could be coming from their outside gas area speakers; the music was that from the old saloon days. It had no beats or words, just music.

My daughter said it was because we lived next to the cemetery which was in our back yard. Reading all Irving haunt stories gives me relief to know it is not just us but all of Irving. The strongest open port of entry time for the spirits is confirmed at a little past 3:00 am. So now that we know we should have a watch meeting at that time knowing they are not out to harm us. This was their land and home at one time and want back to that time; if only there was a way to help them all rest in peace by finding their way over.

Comment by Terry: I live practically right next to you! I'd love to hear more on this if it's still going on.

I lived in Irving Texas. My friend lived at the MacArthur Place Apartment, I believe or something like that. I came over one day, and her door was opening and shutting. Then her TV turned off and on. It was creepy, but before that someone died in the apartments, so ya also my apartment was haunted as well. Lots of creepy stuff.
