this day (2017) we still experience events but are able to just ignore them or brush them off. Submitted by Dee

I live in Westfield and have had many things happen at my house. We have been in the house for one year and have asked a neighbor about the history of the house. The neighbor told us nothing bad has happened. It all started when we moved in. There was nothing in the house because we were painting it first, and my mother-in-law and I heard the front door open and slam closed. I went out into the hall to see who was there and looked in all the rooms, and no one else was in the house. A few weeks later after we were all moved in my husband, our one-year old daughter, and I were in the living room watching TV. My dog woke up and went to the edge of the carpet before the hallway and started freaking out. She was barking like crazy, and there was nothing that we could see, so we turned on the light and she ran under the couch and hid. Then my daughter was walking from the dining room into the mail hallway, and it looked like she was pushed from behind. She got up and turned around and pointed her finger and said ''no no'' at nothing. I thought that was a bit strange.
Some of our daughter's toys have gone on by themselves, and we could not find the actual toy itself until a few days later. The toys would be in her playroom on the top of the closet shelf. My husband and I have been in bed and heard footsteps above us. It sounded like it was a grown person walking. Most recently it all had to do with my daughter the most. She told me that there were two ghosts in her room, and she said that they slept in her wall. Now what kind of two-year old would know a ghost who slept in the wall.

On New Year's Eve I was in the hallway and on the phone with my mom, and there was a creepy scream. My mom could also hear it while she was on the phone with me. My dog started freaking out again, and my daughter was at the other end of the long hallway. She was as pale as could be and had a dead stare on her face. I asked her what was wrong. She did not respond, and so the scream did it again. She and I hung up with my mom. I asked my daughter again what was wrong, and she said ''mommy, Emily scared of the man'' and pointed down the hallway toward me. I asked what man, and she said ''right there mommy'' and pointed next to me. I told her there was no man, and she ran to her room and got under her covers. She said she was scared and was really freaked out.

On another occasion I was letting my dog in, and out of the corner of my eye I saw a tall dark figure of a man in my laundry room. He looked like he was wearing the outfit of an old fisherman with the hat, long rain coat, and boots. When I turned towards it he was gone, and I was freaked out. Earlier that same week I was lying in my daughter's bed, and we were watching Tinkerbelle; all of a sudden it felt and sounded as if something fell off of the bed and rubbed under the mattress. Then the mattress bumped up while we were on the bed. We both froze and looked at each other. I reached up for the fan light and jumped off the bed and looked under it. There was nothing there of course. One day I painted my little girl's fingernails red and was taking pictures. When I looked back through my camera some of her finger nails were black and one looked like the black was growing over her finger. I showed my mother-in-law, and she said ''you need to call someone or something''. There are so many more things that have happened after that. Submitted by Kelly
Comment by Amanda: This gave me chills. My roommates and I just moved in to a house off Fry and Brandon Oaks. I woke up to a figure of a man standing at the foot of my bed. My roommate woke up to the same man standing in the corner of our living room one night.
