My grandparents on my mother's side used to live and own the house on the corner of Clark Boulevard and McPherson. I remember my mom and grandmother talking about a great aunt who had passed that would come out in the dark back yard of the house while they were all outside sitting on the side of the house.
One night they all saw her very distinctly appear and go into an old outhouse. Then she came out, went around the out house, and disappeared. She was wearing a long white night gown and had long braids.

One of my uncle's friends was visiting at that time, and he saw her too and was too afraid to walk home alone, so one of the uncles walked him home. This had to happen when I was around 7 or 8, so that was in the 1950s. Now my daughter and her sons and myself can 'see' things that some people cannot. Curse or gift or blessing? Who knows.

Comment by anonymous: I lived there in 1980. My mom found out that a soldier committed suicide there, and his mom was overly protective of his sister. I'm the one who wrote to ask if anyone who is currently living in the area recalls hearing anything about the red and white house. We lived there and experienced a lot of demonic activity. I wasn't saved yet. That is to say I hadn't received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I did a few years later in a different state. If anyone ever resided in this house, please contact me on this website. I would greatly appreciate it. God bless.
