Comment by Beto: In this area of Laredo I was told many mines were there because there was precious metals to be dug. Many men women died of all reasons. But mental institutions were never there. They never built places like that.
One thing there used to be a church and cemetery on the Mines Road. That could be it. Amen.

Well I got two stories for you all: I've live in Laredo my whole life about 10 yrs ago while I slept over night at my friends trailer home her parents left out of town and we were by ourselves for a whole week.

Well when we were going to sleep (she slept in her bed and I on the floor) she would leave her room door open but about 1hr after trying to sleep I suddenly saw a small animal figure (shadow like) pass by the door.
Creepy thing about it was that animals are not meant to walk like humans right'' well I saw this thing pass by walking like a human quick. It was the scariest $@*# I ever saw. I got up n woke my friend up.
She said it was my mind and eyes playing tricks on me. I said OK then laid back down 10 mins later I saw it again. I screamed and asked her to switched places with me and she did but I kept seeing this thing purposely pass by the door like taunting me.
