On the north side of the cemetery there is a drainage canal or storm sewer that runs under the road. When I was in high school (30 years ago) some friends and I were hanging about at night. We saw a figure kneeling by a headstone, we yelled and chased this person who went in the storm sewer half of us went to the other side but this figure never came out.
Recently, while in Littlefield at a class reunion, I heard that this has happened several times over the years. We thought it was a fluke, that we just ‘lost him' but something else may be going on.
