The Lubbock Cemetery or what they call Hellgates is very haunted. My friends and I went out to Hellsgates a lot. One Halloween we decided to go out there, and we saw what looked like a demonic troll on all fours. My boyfriend got his phone to use as a light and went to chase it, and it got up on two legs and ran! Ghosts played peek-a-boo behind tomb stones and trees. I can't find the pictures we all used to take out there years ago, but we held a camera away from all of us as we walked up the hill. We took pictures on the bridge and all throughout the woody areas. We came home that night to find a ghost charging at us when we took the picture with the camera away from everyone. We also found demonic faces in the trees and on the bridge. We found orbs everywhere even on us or around us. Some were huge; some were small.
We found a mother and a little boy kneeled down together as if she was comforting him. I say the boy was maybe 6. I also have a picture of a friend kneeled down pointing off the bridge, and there was a ghost right where he was pointing. I do believe Lubbock Cemetery, and all of Hellsgates is haunted. I will find those pictures someday. I do know that the Santa Fe railroad runs off those tracks and back, and the 1900's bandits used to kill all the passengers and take over the train as well as all the goods! The tracks split down past the bridge. A few of me and my girlfriends decided to walk further down, but as soon as we got to the fork, we had chills and something told us not to go any further, so every since we never even walk down it. Now they have a fence around the bridge with razor wire at the top to keep people off of it. People have sacrificed dogs, cats, etc.
Not too long ago I saw on the news that some kids sacrificed a cat on the bridge, and when people showed up the next day the cat was still alive. It was terrible. A few times my friends and I went up there we found ourselves running out to the car to leave because there were 6 to 8 people wearing blacks gowns with witch craft items in their hands. They looked at us as if we were their next target. Hellsgates is very scary, haunted wise. .

I've been in this cemetery for 15 years. I've even spent the night in the cemetery watching for vandals on Halloween. There is nothing that creeps around here other than our employees.

My girlfriend and I visited this cemetery recently. Doesn't help that the whole area is Indian camping grounds.
