I was headed southbound on the Expressway 77 where the bridge ends at 10 at night. There was a female walking with a red dress with no shoes on. I decided to stop to see what was going on. I thought maybe she was in trouble, so I walked up to her with my flashlight. I asked her if everything was okay in English and in Spanish. She just stared at me and wouldn't talk, so I started walking back to my pickup. She walked behind me then crossed the lanes walking

in the median. As soon as I got in my pickup, she walked back to the other side and continued walking on the shoulder, and then I couldn't see her anymore.

I too grew up in Willacy county and I have also heard about the lonely woman walking along the expressway overpass between combs and the sebastion area. She wears dark clothing and awaits for a passerby to give her a ride across the bridge.
