to die there the dense forest and rugged inaccessibility has attracted thrill seekers. Many of these hikers mark their routes by leaving colored plastic tapes behind causing concerns from prefectural officials for the ecosystem of the forest.

Comment by Tina: Sorry Perry! I lived at the end of Stagecoach road for many years and you have a big imagination. I'm cracking up! Lol!!! It is not a suicide trap place wooh!! However my in-laws lived in uncertain TX.
And we always traveled that road as it ends up on hwy 49. We did have incidents one evening about dark which was when we usually started home. Our headlights went out and came back on when the road became asphalt again.
We also had the road collapse under the front of the car and had to fill up hole with rocks to get out of it. I have also heard stories of Bigfoot sightings in that area--visit east Texas Bigfoot--I believe that is what it is called to read about this--I didn't mean to make light of your story but somebody is pulling your leg.
This road is the old Stagecoach route between Shreveport and Jefferson TX. I have no doubt a lot has happened there over the years and I do believe in things we don't understand.
Comment by anonymous: I am with the person who posted the previous comment. I lived in the old house at Stagecoach in 1997 and for 3 years. That house is super haunted but the comments the initial person wrote are incorrect! No one committed suicide on that road while we lived there, I do not think the ground is made out of the elements he stated and I know for sure that the ground is not covered with snow.
I also know for a fact that the military does not perform training exercises in that area. I know this because my husband is active duty army and was when we lived off Stagecoach Road. At no time did they ever do any form of training out there.
Comment by Karen: I was born and raised in Marshall and have had the unfortunate experience of walking down Stagecoach in the middle of the night pitch dark as have a few of my friends. It's really dark and creepy, but by no means did anything happen except a long dark walk for gas. Believe me if it was haunted, it would have got all of us when we were teenagers unless you count cops as ghosts.
Comment by J: I agree with these previously posted comments. I lived in Marshall for 25 years and have been down Stagecoach Road many times. It is certainly a very creepy and mysterious looking place with extremely high banks overshadowed with lots of trees and heavy undergrowth. However, to my knowledge there are no caverns anywhere in the area, and the forest floor is not made up of anything even remotely resembling volcanic rock. In fact most of the surrounding forest is low lying and somewhat boggy. This person does not sound like they have been anywhere near Marshall or even east Texas!.
Comment by Tony: I'm going out there to find out myself. I will upload it and post links from youtube when I'm done.
