I am a Mason and a member of St. John's Lodge AF&AM located on Kentucky Street in McKinney. I am quite sure the building in which my Lodge resides is haunted, and I'm not the only one!
The building has been around since the 1800s and the Masonic Lodge has occupied that building since 1922. The lodge itself has been around since 1850. There is a lot of history that exists both for the building and the Lodge itself, both having been around since before the Civil War.

For about a year, I often found myself in the building after hours because I had taken on the task of teaching the ritual work to a couple of new Masons who had recently been initiated. I mostly used the banquet room, but occasionally I would sit with them in the lodge room itself, for reasons I am not at liberty to discuss.

Many times, while working with the new Masons in the banquet room, we would see flashes through the window in the door of someone walking by. Getting up to check, no one would be there. There would also be the sounds of someone walking around the lodge room above us. Again, after cutting on the lights and checking we would find no one. On one occasion I had just entered the building and walked up the stairs when the noises began. There were three distinct knocking sounds and then the sounds of a person moving about the lodge room above me. The sounds were so convincing and so clear that I charged upstairs and even considered taking the Tyler's sword off the wall to use as a weapon! Of course, the noises ceased and I found no one in the lodge room.
I reported the noises to my brothers at the next stated meeting, and several of them reported hearing and seeing the same things. We often speculate that it could be the spirit of some brothers of the past still being drawn to the place they loved and conducting phantom rituals for an ethereal lodge of ghosts.
