I was born and raised in McAllen TX and I now have been living in Austin TX for the past 16 years now. My mother and I moved into a house on Heron Street in 1990. We lived here for about 4 years. I do believe that this house is haunted.
It was not an old house it was built in the 80's but had and aura about it. It was a split level house and I could hear footsteps upstairs and up and down the staircase. I would also hear the doorbell ringing and no one was at the door.

The stranger thing about this was my mom would be in the same room and not hear it. It seems I was the only one who was able to pick up on these occurrences. Although one night I was with my boyfriend and we were the only ones in the house at the time.

We were downstairs talking and we both heard this evil/wicked sounding laugh. I believe it was male. Anyway we looked at each other and ran outside to see if someone was outside.... No one! It was about 1 am and dead silent.
I wonder what occurred on this spot or in this house in the past. Very strange indeed.
