Comment by Nichole: My dad taught there for several years and said he would be at the school alone and hear someone playing the piano. You'd walk into the room and no one would be there and the lights would be off but as you walked away it would start to play again.
Comment by Laci: It's soo true about the doors. I went to school there and remember the doors would just slam. And an old lady would walk the halls, and when I told my teacher she didn't believe me. Then other kids were saying they saw her.
She would just walk around and not say anything. It got so bad that I didn't want to go to school anymore.
Comment by Gil: The old dezavala was built on an Indian burial ground, it's a fact. So they built a new dezavala across the street and the disturbed spirits went to the new one after the old dezavala was torn down. I think a special ed school sits where the old one was.
Everybody should know the story. I went back in 1989 and the lights would turn on and off and you could hear the piano playing.

There's a house on the corner of Garfield and Golfcourse. I don't know what the story was behind that lot but no one could remain in that house long. It was a beautiful home and after some time it was knocked down and remained empty for some time.
I think there was finally a house built on that lot but I've since moved, if anyone knows the story please comment.

Comment by Tonya: It was the corner of Midkiff and golf course. My aunt lived in the house as a rental. She said doors in kitchen opened all the time, beds were unmade .... Cold chills.... They had a séance which caused a dark presence and the room turned ice cold with doors slamming....
Everyone ran out that night... She moved out the next day... The story/history was a man and wife lived there with their special needs daughter who they kept hidden away because they were ashamed of her...
The little girl died in early teens and was never given a proper funeral... My aunt lived there shortly in the 70s... They never could keep the house rented or could sell it... They built the house at a prime location, didn't sell for years until recently...
That is all I know :-).
