It was probably between 2004 and 2005 my friend and I saw what appeared to be a 1950s-( or 1960s) era boy aged between 9-11 on North Oak going by Lions Park. There is a bridge that has a fairly deep creek, and he was kind of hovering between the guard rail and a light post. He was pretty much transparent, but I could tell he had on a striped shirt. His hair color was a light brown, maybe auburn color. I never saw his legs. It was around midnight when we saw him. My friend was driving and I couldn't believe what I had seen, thinking I must be tired. But as we neared my house I asked him if he had seen anything weird by Lions Park when we passed, and he freaked out explaining exactly what I had seen. My question is: has anyone else encountered anything like this or know of anything that might have happened to a child this age in that area? My research online hasn't really given me many answers and Lions Park doesn't bring up a whole lot of history or information from the Internet. Submitted by Candace

My sister and I moved to Mineral Wells Texas in 1965. My brother in-law was stationed at Fort Wolthers. We rode the bus from NC to Mineral Wells. My brother-in-law had rented a three room house down a dirt road.

It was just a plain looking three room house. We had neighbors who's names were Weaver. Mr. Weaver on the base with my brother-in-law. Everything seemed normal about the house for about two weeks when strange occurrences like sounds that were not the norm started happening. I have given my story on the Mineral Wells topix forum, a few people have told me that the house is still there and some said it was gone. Every time I read about the Baker Hotel being haunted my mind says oh yea? There is a real haunted house in Mineral Wells that I will swear to God the house is haunted.
Thanks, Charles Brooks, email is brookscharles61 @gmail. com . I will relate what strange things went on in that house. Please no phony ghost hunters or mediums should contact me.
