I am an antique dealer in Montgomery. Our shop has had many occurrences of spirits making their presence known. My first experience happened about 10 years ago when I began to observe rocking chairs rocking by themselves, hearing voices but not being able to distinguish what was being said. Many of our customers who are sensitive to spirits have felt and heard things when they enter the shop and in particular certain rooms.

About 3 years ago I was here early one morning before the annual antique show in May turning on lights and getting the shop ready for customers. As I walked down a hallway I glanced to my right and saw a full bodied apparition of a man dressed in black trousers with suspenders, a white shirt with the type of collar men would button a collar onto and lace up boots of the turn of the century.

He stared at me with a stern look and disappeared right in front of me and my mom. A new dealer moved into her area and stayed late getting things ready for the next day when she arrived her entire room had been completely rearranged.
Nothing was where she had placed them the night before. 6 months ago I was working and walked into the area where our microwave was. I immediately notice the strong smell of fresh popped popcorn. That odor permeates a room and lingers. None of the dealers had popped popcorn. The smell is still in the shop although it has dissipated tremendously. I found 1 single kernel of popcorn a couple of months later in the middle of the walkway in 2 different dealers areas and the smell was strong again.
We decided the inhabitants of the shop must enjoy a little party once in a while. We always say good night to them and ask them to watch over everything until the next day. When we come in the next morning we always greet them and thank them for taking care of our shop.
