Back in June 1987 we were drilling a well 4 miles from Caddo, Texas on FM 717. Driving to the well to run open hole logs at about 2:00 am, we went through Ranger and over the tracks downtown. I saw a figure dressed in old clothes with a striped old style railroad hat carrying a lantern walking along the track towards where we were. I saw it plain as day. My uncle was driving, and after we were west of town on FM 717 he asked me if I saw it too.

I confirmed, and we never discussed it again. Submitted by Jeff

I used to live in a home on north Homer in Ranger, Texas. I lived there with my kids. It's a possessed house. Not only me but my children and family from two hours away who visited got to witness it. I still have nightmares. It had been foreclosed on multiple times. There's a reason why. You will hear a girl crying but can't find her. There's old Victorian music that plays. There's a shed in the back yard with a mirror that says '' help me.'' This place is super haunted! I moved myself and children three hours away. Let it foreclose and never return. Submitted by Shalo
Comment by Suzyq: Was this perhaps on Homer Street?.

I used to live at 20x North Homer. After 9 months I had to move myself and my children out of Ranger. Things we all experienced was the sound of a screaming child doors slamming upstairs, footsteps running, putrid smells, my son was punched in the side going up the stairs and it left a small child size bruise.
