This happened to me in 1987 when I was twenty years old, coming home late after a night of working as a waitress at the Fast & Cool Club. It was late, probably close to 4am, because we were open late for dancing, even after last call, and I always had to stay and clean up the place. Plus, it took me a while to get home. I was driving north on Central expressway. I took the Spring Valley exit going west toward Garland. The highway was pretty empty,

as was the street, once I exited. There was a Red Lobster restaurant at that exit. Anyway, there was no traffic, I was pretty much alone. I took the exit

and then turned right on Spring Valley. I immediately saw a police car in my rearview mirror, so I pulled into the Red Lobster parking lot, which was lit with street lights but empty. I knew I hadn't been speeding. I had no idea why I was being pulled over.
The police officer was working alone. He was tall and slender medium build with dark hair. He wore a uniform and had a thin gold plate bar name tag on his left breast pocket that I distinctly
