I had a tendency to also check the house during the morning.. Prior to work I would drop by for a quick inspection.. Grant it I was excited and couldn't wait to move in.. One morning though... The water to the master bedroom's shower was on a full level..
No one to my knowledge had entered the home and the water was not on the night before as I had checked the house. Another time about a year or so after we moved in my son and I were in the garage.

I was fixing one of our vehicles and was located in the front area of the car with the hood open when all of a sudden my son shouted ''whoa...
''

and jumped back about two feet. He was close to six years of age at the time and his look was of fright/excitement. According to my son (who as a child is honest and frank) a little boy about his age or younger walked by passed us.
According to him it was a white little boy wearing a stripped shirt. This little boy also played peek-a-boo with my wife and daughter in following years and briefly peeked in on my son and I as we were playing piano.
