We built a two-story house on Ben Hur off Wurzbach Road in 1963 after I had my first son. When he grew into a teenager strange things started happening. He told me he felt that someone was holding him down at night, so we decided to keep his dog in his room at night. During the night the dog sometimes woke up barking. This helped my son sleep. One day my neighbor was over, and we were talking at the bottom of the stairs, and something black went down the hall. She looked at me, and I said that is our ghost; she didn't stay long. I was told by someone that the house used to be part of a 300-acre ranch and that in our large side oak tree a cowboy was hanged. I don't know if the hanging is true, but things are strange in that house. I sold the house years later to a couple who has small children. They kept the house for just one or two years, and it is sold again. I don't know if the people are having the same issues.

It was around Halloween time. Me and my cousins (who were from out of town) wanted to do something scary. I took them to the M. Hotel, it was the first thing that popped In my head. We were walking around the hotel when my cousin said ''let's leave. It's starting to get boring, and nothing's happening. '' At that moment me and my cousins (two oldest) looked up and saw a lady in a maid outfit walk in the stairway. For some reason it creeped us out. I looked at my cousin and told her ''did you see that?'' She said ''ya'', and we ran to the door. We weren't far enough for her to disappear as quick as she did. Even if she ran, she couldn't have just not been there. We looked at each other and asked the younger ones if they saw what we did. They all said no. After that we went to go sit down on this table by the elevators. I put my recorder on, and we were all talking. After we left and I got home I checked the recording. At first all I heard was all of us talking and laughing, but all of a sudden I heard a whisper say ''HELP ME. '' I showed my cousin. She got so scared that she deleted the recording. I haven't been back to the hotel since. That was almost 2 years ago.
