He then told me he had gotten a call while in the shower from my office phone. We both drove to the school, but we could see my office alarm was still set from the window. The next day I told my secretary the story. We were still both puzzling over it when my phone's speaker setting came on all by itself and began dialing a number. We both stared in amazement until a voice answered. It was the head of maintenance! I grabbed the phone and told him what

had just happened. He didn't believe me and hung up. I turned back to my secretary saying the speed dial must have malfunctioned. She was as white as

a sheet when she told me that his number was not one speed dial. No cell phones were. Only land lines on our system had speed dial buttons.
I took a new job at the end of the year. I was offered a job closer to my hometown. However, I will never forget the events I witnessed in Seagraves, Texas! .
