Back in the winter of 1988 I was in a half burnt down shed in the back of my friend's house on Hays Street like many weekend nights in those days. It was me, my friend, his little brother, and another guy from their neighborhood. We were all about the same age (18-21 at the time. ) The friend who lived there had a half burnt shed in the back yard with an old wood burning stove. The stack was old rolled galvanized strung up to the burnt rafters with wire.

Between the stove and smoke stack was a 4-inch gap where a little of smoke would escape and fire tips would show. The majority of smoke would go up the

stack, sticking out the burnt open roof (next to the right of the door, which was the only exit. It's a shed. )
A long extension cord was laid on the ground running from his house into a jam box (radio) into the shed, playing our favorite rock station 99. 5 KISS. Yes, we were drinking beer and other things, but I can tell you it had nothing to do with what we encountered that cold Seguin night. There was a lot of old furniture, car fenders,
