I live at the intersection of Cypresswood and Treaschwig in the Postwood subdivision. One night I was coming home from work driving toward Cypresswood on Treaschwig. I was down by the lawnmower repair shop. It was very late maybe 1:30 am or so. The forest had not been cleared yet for the subdivisions, so as you go down Treaschwig you would enter a road going through thick woods. As I passed the lawnmower shop, my headlights illuminated a man riding a bike down the middle of the road. He appeared all leisurely like it was a sunny Sunday afternoon. I said to myself ''well, look at this guy!'' As I approached him (just before a little bridge) I saw that he was not moving out of my way, so I braked a bit. The second I put my brakes on the most unbelievable thing happened.
The guy just shot up into thin air so fast into the tree canopy (sort of). It was more like he sliced the darkness and went on the other side of it. I have never seen anything like it, so it is hard to describe. The speed with which he shot up was incredible. I turned on my cab light and zoomed home as fast as I could. Now this guy did not look like a ghost or a mist. He was wearing an Argyle sweater. His bike had those big fenders with many reflectors all over it. He had that kind of short oily looking haircut with Brylcreem (old time hair gel!) I mean I saw him closely and clearly. He looked real. It only got weird when he shot up into the air.

Well I got home and woke everybody up to tell them what had happened. As it turned out my son had seen him twice, and my husband once. Them being men, they did not tell anyone thinking people would think they were ''off'' or something! They both described him as the same guy on the same bike, and when they got close he shot into the woods. He did not go into the canopy when my husband saw him, so he just thought he was riding the bike really fast into the woods. Same with my son. They both saw him down here near our neighborhood entry. This was several years ago, and we have not seen him again.

The house we live in is in the Memorial Chase Subdivision. We have had a number of strange things happen here. One evening everyone was sitting around the living room talking. Some of the family were deciding to go somewhere for something to do. My next-to-the-youngest daughter decided to stay home with me and her little brother. The rest were going shopping. We were sitting in the living room as the others all went out to the car. A few minutes passed, and we assumed they had gone. My daughter asked why her sister had not gone out yet. We were sure she had intended on going out. I asked why she thought so. She said her sister was still in the hall bathroom combing her hair. I asked her how she knew that. She pointed to the shadow on her bedroom door that was a perfect silhouette of her sister's head and her arm moving as she combed her long hair. Yes, that was her alright!
What was she doing taking so long and making everyone wait on her! I kept telling her to hurry up, or they would all go off without her. She just kept combing her hair and not saying a word. My daughter kept calling her a ''slowpoke'' and teasing her about worrying so much about her hair. No reply. After a while we were beginning to get annoyed at watching her slowly combing her hair over and over and showing such indifference to those around her. The shadow was clearly visible. My daughter remarked on how perfect the shadow was from in front of the bathroom mirror to her bedroom door at the end of the hallway. This was visible from the living room. We both got up to see how that could all take place. We looked in the bathroom to tell my daughter. She was not there. She had left with the others about twenty minutes before.
