Hello my name is Jay. My great grandparents had purchased the first school house that was built in Whitney, Texas in 1884. I believe after it was used as a school house they had converted it into a beautiful home. They passed away, and then my grand parents took it over. Let me tell you. As a teen, that house was very haunted. They used to have wakes back in the day for the dead there. I used to hear things all they time. Once I saw a dark

figure that I still to this day do not know what it was. It just went through the wall. I still have nightmares about that old place sometimes lol. If

anyone remembers the old place, it was right behind Park Plaza nursing home. I lived there from 1976 to 1984. I then moved back to Oklahoma. Thanks for listening.

My son are at Nate's Colorado St Grille and was told that it is haunted. Just curious about the story. He did say the original building had been built 109 years ago.
