I've not lived in Wichita Falls for two decades, so some locale details might be a little off. In the spring of 1994 I started morning bike rides along the Wichita River Trail (and never mind the signage said 'No Bikes Allowed. ' No one else was using it at 6:00 am. ) The following occurred about 300 yards from the trail's end (at the time) near a rail bridge just north of downtown and a little tree-lined creek perhaps from a drainage tunnel trickling

into the river.
So biking along one morning, I saw a baby in a car seat just sitting in the middle of the trail bridge over the creek. I slowed

down to investigate and was so focused on (not running over) the baby that I hadn't noticed a small group of 3-4 young adults hidden by the trees. Once I realized I didn't need to call CPS, I continued on my way taking little notice of them.
One male, however, looked right at me through little circular sunglasses, held up two fingers and said ''peace. '' I kind of laughed at his clich? hippy clothing and manner, forehead bandana holding back
