He had told me that the house was haunted, but naturally, I didn't believe him. There were certainly odd occurrences such as faucets running, strange sounds, etc. We wrote most of this off to the fact that we were usually intoxicated.
There were two really creepy occurrences though. His bedroom door opened to a hallway that had a window-type opening across from his room. Through the opening you could see a dining room area. He claimed that as stood

in the doorway, he had seen a little boy pass by the opening, moving across dining room towards the kitchen.
He stared at my roommate as he passed
|
by. In addition to that, I once awoke in the middle the night to see something hovering above my bed as I slept. It resembled the shape of a person, and was small.
I generally regard these events as tricks of the mind rather than hauntings, but creepy nonetheless.
