I lived in Wimberley throughout my High School years and I can tell you about some local legends: 1. On R. R. 12 after you've driven through the square pat the y past the school on left and then the Catholic church there is a building on the left that's been there for years. Use to be where the annual 4th of July rodeos were held. Legend has it that any business will in that building will fail because it sets on and by an old Indian burial

ground which is sacred ground. The sacred grounds actually go all the way back to Jacob's well. I can tell you that there hasn't been a business that

lasted more than a year or two to this day. Look it up. 2. Out in the back of phase ii of Woodcreek (it may have houses there now) but there was a security cop that worked for Thompson's security back in the 70's who while on duty drove back there and shot himself in his patrol car after his wife told him she was filing for a divorce.
3. The reason the Woodcreek clubhouse in phase I located by the low water bridge that runs over the creek can't stay
