a lady I've on Miller Street. I don't know her story, but she looked very sad and wore a bright red dress. We can't leave out Winfield school old gymnasium. That place was generally just creepy!!!. Submitted by Shawna

I used to stay in Montecillo. Nowadays you take that old mine road from Winfield on I30 side to get there. Well, ever since I was young that area has given me many things to think about. I've heard of it being an old Indian ground. Maybe it had a lot to do with the earth being tempered with from the mines operations. Whatever it is, I assure you, Montecillo is one scary place. I've had people with me on occasions, different cases of course, where they've been witness to what happened, so I know I can't be making anything up. I got stories.

We went to Barrett (Blue Light) Cemetery a lot as kids in the early '80s. I've seen the grass (in the fall when it was tall and uncut) fall and rise as if someone were walking through it even though no one was there. We saw a fog-like ''thing'' shaped somewhat like a person cross the cemetery on another night. But the strangest thing of all was hearing voices (like loud whispers) coming from the ground by Sara Luna's grave (that particular night we wrecked a '64 Chevy trying very hard to leave way too fast). In those days the cemetery was never locked and the coal mines were in full operation. Submitted by SJ
