Sept. Of 2006. I remember traveling sounth on hwy 83 one late afternoon. And as I reached the county line I noticed a white light formed like a ball. It was very bright. It stood still as I got closer and as soon as I went under it I saw it threw the rear view mirror and it never moved.
This was no UFO sighting just a bright light some 200 or 300 ft up in the air. As I stared at the sphere or ball (inside was hazy looking) I can't explain

it I never felt scared or like it would harm me in some way I just felt calm like do big deal.
Till this day I have never seen it again but if I do.

Four of us were returning to Zapata from Laredo, very near sunset, when we saw a young woman with blonde hair standing next to an elderly lady in a wheel chair. There was still plenty of light left, and we could clearly see them.
They were standing on the west shoulder of southbound hwy 83, across from the roadside park, on the hill that sits five mile north of Zapata. When we passed them, we were not more than 10 feet away.
